About usÂ
1000 Black Boys is a Social Enterprise committed to inspiring Black boys and young Black men (10-25 years) to unleash their potential and to live a life of purpose.
We have five pillars to make this a reality. Four are currently live.
Pillar One – Our Events
We have two types. One is our Inspiration & Empowerment Events where we bring along successful people who the boys, the young men and their parents/guardians can relate to and learn from. The second is our Family Events which give parents and families that have lost children to knife crime or youth violence a platform to be heard and get support that they need.
Pillar Two – Our Mentorship Programmes
Mentorship Programmes that take the boys and the parents/guardians on a journey of self development, so that they can build confidence, master the self sabotage mechanism and move forward in life.
Pillar Three – Family Support & Family Therapy Services
This is mainly to assist parents and families that have lost children to knife crime or violence. We are also seeing that parents and families who haven’t lost children need this service.
Pillar Four – Our TV Show
Our TV Show on LCBN TV available on Freeview 271, the app of the TV station and YouTube. It provides inspiration to our audience in line with our Mission.
Pillar Five – Digital Platform
A Digital Platform to give parents or guardians access to support locally (this is not live yet).
